What is a Detuned Capacitor Bank?

A Detuned Capacitor Bank is a power factor correction system that integrates capacitors with series reactors to shift the system’s resonance frequency below dominant harmonic orders. This design avoids harmonic resonance, protects capacitors, and ensures safe operation in installations with VFDs, UPS, rectifiers, and other non-linear loads.

PQI Detuned Filter Reactor are available in multiple kVAr ratings and voltage classes, making them suitable for RTPFC Panels, harmonic filter panels, and industrial power distribution systems.
